Assignments out!

bdsmexchangeAssignments have been sent! If you have notifications turned on, you will receive an email with your assignment details. Regardless, you can access your assignment by going to the "My Assignments" tab on AO3 and clicking on the exchange.
Assignments are due July 31st, 11:59 PM EDT. By that time, you must upload a complete work, either 1000 words or a colored or lined piece of art on unlined paper, to AO3. This work must feature a combination of fandom, pairing, medium and freeform your recipient requested, although it doesn't have to be the one you matched on, and it must respect their reasonable DNWs. You can do this either by clicking "Fulfill" on the assignment page, or by clicking the checkbox on the open assignment on the New Work page.
If you are unable to complete your work, you may default at any time by clicking the "Default" button on the assignment page. There is no penalty for defaulting before the deadline, except that I will not hold the exchange for your gift or post your assignment as a pinch hit after you default. If you upload a placeholder or fail to upload any work at deadline, you will be required to complete a treat for some assignment - not necessarily yours - of at least the assignment minimum before signing up again. Alternatively, you may ask for an extension by privately contacting me, either via dreamwidth PM or email at shimmeringwords@gmail.com. Extensions do not require an excuse, and I will grant them generously into the first week post-deadline. I will be reluctant to grant longer or second extensions. You may also swap your assignment for any open pinch hit by contacting me privately, in which case you will still be guaranteed a gift.
